April Lodge Guinea pig Holidays are really cool !!!!! Everyone who loves animals wants the best for them whilst on holiday. April Lodge has a very busy boarding facility, proceeds of which go direct into the charity. The guinea pig lodge is a light, airy, double glazed, 36 foot brick building with adjoining guinea pig welfare clinic. The visiting guinea pigs have a taste of what it is like living in a colony, although they cannot get to each other. They obviously, love it by the excited sound of 60 chuntering guineas first thing in the morning as they welcome breakfast. Following an early breakfast and a nap, they then go into secure, protected grass playpens to munch and frolic about for the day. Later they are brought into a secure and cosy hutch made up with chopped bedding, a rack full of hay, dry feed, fresh water and a pile of grass supplement. They are then pretty much ready for bed. "Lights out" is around 7pm as we are back at 6.30am with fresh fruit and vegetables for breakfast. Routine is the key. SPA TREATMENTS
We now offer optional spa treatments. This includes a massage with one of
the essential oils followed by a session in the bath tub with one of our
soothing shampoos and a blow dry. (cocktails not included!).

GUINEA PIG BOARDING FEES 2 guinea pigs sharing one hutch £30 per week or £5 per day 1 guinea pig on own in hutch £20 per week or £3 per day We also offer boarding for rabbits at the above fees All proceeds from boarding goes directly in to the charity.
