Dedicated to rescuing the abused, unwanted & abandoned
Caring for your guinea pig is not always as simple as people like to think. We have put together a comprehensive guide for looking after your guinea pig in the best way possible. This advice is given after many years of caring for numerous guinea pigs and all advice given is strictly followed by the rescue center and it’s volunteers.

Val Savage
Guinea Pig Health Advisor
Val qualified in 2007 as a Guinea Pig Health Advisor certified by the British Association of Rodentologists. The coursework included research in to naturally occurring diseases, the diagnostic guide to disease and a residential course at The Cambridge Cavy Trust.
“Being a Guinea Pig Health Advisor has its ups and downs but when you see an animal come in here, terrified, starving, dehydrated, sick and unloved then nurse them to health and find a new loving home, this makes up for all the sad times.”
